The old national archives
The Old National Archives in Stockholm is a unique example of the institutional buildings of its era in Sweden and Europe.
Since 1993 it is a listed historic building, which means that there are extensive restrictions on which alterations are permitted. In 2008–2011 a rebuilding and modernisation project was carried out for a children’s cultural centre, in which modern requirements for fire protection, climate control, electrical and telecom systems were met. In 2012–2013 we were responsible for tenant modifications on behalf of the TV production company Eyeworks. With far-reaching respect for the building’s original character, we opened up the Old National Archives to new possibilities.
